Responsibilities & Qualifications:

We are looking for a hands-on development engineer responsible for conceptualization, development and qualification of high performance polymeric tubing for medical markets. Position will focus on material science and extrusion processing of plastics geared toward the medical market. Will work closely with customers, sales, product management, regulatory, manufacturing engineering and operations to develop and commercialize new products.

 

Qualifications:

 

- 5-10 years experience in process/product development of high performance polymeric tubing, experience with medical devices like catheters development/manufacturing.

- Experience with extrusion processing of tubing.

- Experience with heat shrink technology.

- Experience in formulation/compounding of engineering polymers.

- Experience in lean design techniques (Six Sigma) & GMP/QSR/FDA guidelines will be desirable.

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate at all levels of the organization.

- DOE/SPC.

- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Package.

- SAP understanding.

- Requires Bachelors Degree in Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering or Plastics Engineering.  Masters or PhD a plus.
