| Overview: |
This is a development engineering and project management position involving tasks needed to execute new product development programs from start to finish including definition, feasibility, conceptualization, development, capital justification, capital procurement and some scale-up engineering. This individual will be responsible for managing product development projects throughout all phases from cradle to finished product and process.

| Responsibilities & Qualifications: |
Bachelors degree in engineering required, masters desired. Experience in optical or telecom industry a plus. Must have prior experience managing large development programs. Desired experience in product development as well as process development and/or late stage product development. Ideal candidate will have a track record including successful project management of development programs from start to finish. 10+ years of experience in development desired, preferably in mechanical products. Requires strong communication skills, very strong multi-disciplinary team management skills, self motivation and self direction. Must have ability to work broadly across different parts of the organization, and excellent ability to communicate across groups is essential.
