Enabling Technology Services has opportunity available for an individual who is interested in architecting web applications for high availability, designing and successfully implementing Java J2EE best practices, providing technical analysis & support for application solutions, and sharing practice expertise throughout our Application Development community.
|
| Responsibilities & Qualifications: |
- Participate in all Java J2EE application phases including requirements definition, solution conceptualization, technical design, implementation, and administration.
- Define, design, develop, implement, and administer applications for high availability.
- Manage and support infrastructure, deployment services, and reusable business components to build strategic Tyco Electronics Application solutions.
- Understand and apply TEIS Strategic Plan, Enterprise Architecture, and Systems Strategies to ensure that strategic applications support these strategies.
- Develop and share Java J2EE best demonstrated practices and technical expertise with other TEIS developers.
Position Qualifications/Competencies - Required Required: - Technical Leadership in developing & administering J2EE and/or web-based technology.
- Demonstrated communication, problem solving, & project management skills.
- Experience developing and delivering best demonstrated practices & developer training.
Preferred: - Knowledge of web technologies like J2EE, .NET, web portal, and/or IIS/ASP/CGI
- Knowledge of IBM Websphere Studio Developer & Application Server administration
Required Education Level: - Bachelor’s Degree in related field –or- work experience equivalent
