Overview The Sourcing Engineering position will have the responsibility of directing the sourcing and deployment of new products emanating from the New Product Development group in Middletown, PA. This includes early on decision work to properly align the product to the proper CIS facility, based on many factors including: footprint, competencies, existing products, capacity, etc.. Later in the Development process, the Sourcing Engineer will have full responsibility to transfer the program out of Development into the sustaining facility of choice. Responsibilities

| Responsibilities & Qualifications: |
- Responsible to manage the sourcing decisions for eight to twelve active Development projects within CIS.
- Responsibilities will include working with the New Product Development group to align goals of that group to CIS Manufacturing strategies. Included is the drive for platform consistency within CIS and the identification, and redeployment, of Successfully Demonstrated Practices (SDP) within the NPD cycle.
- Candidate will fully manage the transfer and startup of new product in the facility(s) of choice. This will involve collaboration with all disciplines on the following:
- Coordination of training efforts between the US and the receiving region.
- Assure proper accounting of assets, as well as the logistics of the physical move of the assets. Includes CIT submittals and other asset related documents.
- Working with the Materials organization to assure proper safety stocks, and material purchases, are in place prior to transfer.
- Coordinating startup work in the receiving facility, culminating with the FA approval of product through the ECO and then with Safe Launch completion.
- Engineer will work with others within the NPD Sourcing & Deployment team to assist in problem resolution and to foster cross training. Close relationships are to be built, and maintained, amongst the US Sourcing and Deployment Team as well as our colleagues throughout CIS, globally. Candidate must possess a very high degree of social and communicative skills to foster the teamwork required of this position.
Qualifications - BS, Engineering or Technology - Manufacturing, Polymer, Stamping, or Mechanical preferred.
- 15+ Years of Manufacturing experience, 10 of which should be plant related.
- Project Management expertise. MS Project knowledge a plus; but demonstrated project management techniques will be considered. Portfolio of past project involvement would be encouraged.
- Written communication skills are an absolute requirement. The candidate must possess excellent grammar and sentence structure skills. Included in this qualification is the ability to apply proper email etiquette and rules to your everyday work.
- Strong interpersonal skills must be demonstrated. Teamwork and team building are crucial to this position.
- MS Office Suite proficiency (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- MS Sharepoint experience is a positive
