Overview:

Set up and operate a variety of machine tools including multi axis CNC to produce precision metal and/or plastics compnents for the Stamping, Molding, Assembly and Plating disciplines. Includes precision instrument makers who fabricate, modify, or repair mechanical instruments. Apply knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures to support a production environment.



Responsibilities & Qualifications:
  •  Candidate should have 10 - 15 years of Machine Shop experience on a variety of plastics, including (pvc, cpvc, peek, uhmw, polypro, etc.) and metals such as Stainless and Titanium.  
  • Must be able to efficiently demonstrate 4 axis CNC programming and operations as well as surface grinding parts to specifications.
  • Design and fabricate jigs, fixtures andtemplates to produce parts and assemblies.
  • Lays out and verifies dimensions of parts, using precision measuring and marking instruments and knowledge of trigonometry.
  • Confers with engineering personnel and other manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information.
  • An understanding of Plating Line concepts & construction, welding stainless steels and titanium is a plus
