Overview:

 

The Operations Associate-Assembly II, is responsible for the safe operation of high speed automatic assembly machines.  This includes making minor repairs and adjustment to the assembly equipment.



Responsibilities & Qualifications:
  • Operate assigned automated assembly machines, stock components, identify and re-set machine faults, clear jams, restart production, remove and package finished product.  Perform changeovers and setups including tooling adjustment, pin out, keying features and feed adjustment.
  • Perform quality checks per the quality inspection process.  Document specified measurements per print at required intervals using, height indicator, ram optic, gages as well as completing visual checks under a microscope.
  • Troubleshoot and make adjustments and minor repairs to assembly equipment, including machine feed and sensors.
  • Complete traceability log, repair log, pro job ticket and scrap form.  Report completed production.
  • Housekeeping and organization.  Remove and empty scrap collectors as required.
  • Complete daily/weekly preventive maintenance.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use measuring various devices.
  • Mechanical/Technical experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic understanding of computer operations.
