Overview:

 

Support organization in understanding pricing, product position, and customer negotiations, in connection with state of business and business strategy.  Maintain standard pricing systems.  Utilize data mining procedures. Work with product managers, sales engineers, and customer service to accurately quote prices on new and existing programs in relation to overall product portfolio strategy and market tolerance. Other special projects.



Responsibilities & Qualifications:

 

Key Responsibilities

            30%     Price Quoting Activity

            30%     Maintain and update customer pricing agreements

            20%     Maintain standard pricing systems

            10%     Work with product management to support portfolio pricing strategy

            10%     Determine market dynamics impacting specific pricing assignments

           

 

Relationships

Position reports directly to Manager of Business Support

 No direct reports

  Interacts with multiple levels / positions in customer service, sales, marketing,

 finance, manufacturing, and engineering

 Some external customer relationships

  

Background and Skill

Education:  Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, concentration in business, accounting, or finance.  MBA a plus.

 

Knowledge requirements:  Excellent spreadsheet and database knowledge (Access, Impromptu, Excel).  Pricing and marketing strategies. SAP experience a plus.

 

 Skills:  Independent thought. Analytical, problem-solving, strong oral and written communications, and organization skills

 

Experience:  5 + years in a financial analyst or pricing analyst position.
