Overview:

SR Plastics Engineer for Americas manufacturing engineering and STC. Posittion could be located in Harrisburg, PA or PTP (Greensboro, NC) This person will be responsible for researching/supporting manufacturing technology implementation for the CIS Strategic Support Services team. They will work with the development, technology and manufacturing teams in identifying and implementing new processes evolving around the molding/plastics process. They will work with and have a strong influence on implementation of advanced mfg technologies within operations. They will also interface with TE Technology and other CIS advanced development departments.



Responsibilities & Qualifications:

Degree in Plastics or equivlent engineering degree. Candidate should have a minimum 15 years engineering experience, preferably in plastic process. They should have a solid background/understanding of Mfg. processes with a specific focus in injection molding. They must have CAD/CAM capability. The successful applicant will demonstrate free thinking and exhibit a high level of creativity, flexibility and self motivation.

Competencies and characteristics:

Applicant should exhibit excellent computer skills (office, word, excel, etc), good communication skills (both written and oral), and excellent presentation skills. They must be a self starter and comfortable operating in a self directed environment. Also must have experience in advanced injection molding technologies.
